Freight Bill Auditing and Payment
Our freight bill auditing and payment services are designed with two goals in mind:
- Provide accurate and timely auditing of your company’s transportation invoices and present payment information back to you weekly in a useful format generating efficiencies within your own accounting department.
- Capture the incredibly valuable freight bill and bill of lading detailed shipment information in a custom designed database, and thus becoming a very useful source transportation information for your traffic, sales, and accounting departments.
Our freight bill auditing process and reporting systems are designed around your company’s specific needs and level of auditing desired. Auditing can be performed to specific rates you provide, or to actual tariffs / contracts you may have with your carriers. Duplicate payment protection is provided at many levels, including the matching of freight invoices to specific customer information (copies of bills of lading, delivery receipts, or electronic files), and with the creation of unique fields in our database (such as bill of lading numbers, purchase order numbers, sales order numbers, and carrier freight bill pro numbers).
Get the most out of your valuable transportation information. Reports are available to you tracking the metrics you desire over time. Freight costs by customer, region, facility, carrier, even product, can all be reported back to you. Key metrics such as cost per case, cost per pound, cost per shipment, effective carrier discount levels, will help you not only track your shipping costs, trends, and rates of change, but forecast your future transportation budgets, determine your freight costs as percentage of sales, and allow you to make informed transportation decisions.
Carrier Negotiations
Adcco Incorporated is very experienced in generating carrier bid packages for all forms of transportation: less-than-truckload, truckload, small package, intermodal or airfreight bids. Carriers are selected to meet your service area and transit time requirements. Received carrier bids are processed and rated against sample data originating from your own shipment data, and the results are reported back to you in an intelligent, easy to understand format. Differences in carrier costs, service levels, and transit times are brought to your attention so that you can make an informed decision that is best for your company.
All carrier negotiations are performed on your behalf and any negotiated contracts / tariffs / pricing agreements are in your company’s name. Adcco Incorporated does not receive commissions from carriers allowing us to make more ethical decisions that are in your company’s best interest and permits us to negotiate rates with all carriers and transportation providers.
